چکیده
Equine piroplasmosis is a tropical parasitic disease caused by several intraerythrocytic members of the genera Babesia and Theileria. These pathogens are transmitted multiple tick species considered as important exotic microorganisms in countries. causes significant economic losses due to abortions, decreased activity even death equines, making surveillance these infectious essential. In northern eastern parts Mexico, few molecular serological reports have been made on presence exposure horse agents. For this reason, aim current work was perform detection study Theileria equines from state Veracruz, Mexico. A total 100 whole blood samples were tested. Chelex-100 resin used for DNA extraction fragment 459 bp 18S rRNA gene Babesia/Theileria identified. Of analysed, 18 tested positive Babesia/Theileria, resulting prevalence %. Identity analyses phylogenetic reconstruction revealed that all infected with equi. This represents first record demonstrates endemicity T. equi region country.

متن کاملCloning and Expression of Immunogenic Regions of EMA-1 Gene of Theileria equi From Infected Horses
Diversity among the pathogenic strains of Theileria equi (T. equi), a major agent of equine piroplasmosis, can affect the appropriate detection of parasite and host immunization. Production of recombinant surface proteins from an infected horse in natural endemic area provides a reliable tool for immunodiagnosis of parasite. Regarding this, the present study was targeted toward the cloning, exp...
